Ed is a native of Bryan, TX and since 1974, he has provided tax, accounting and consulting services to businesses and professionals in the Brazos Valley.

Ed attended Texas A&M his freshman year and earned a 'Freshman Numeral' in baseball.  Ed was one of three walk-ons out of 183 who earned a spot on the team.  He transferred to the University of Texas in Austin after his freshman year and received a BBA with honors in 1972.  While at Texas, Ed received the Texas Society of CPA's accounting Excellence Award and was named as one of the Outstanding Students of the College of Business.

Ed has received numerous awards and is a long-standing member of several organizations, including the American Institute of CPAs, the Texas Association of CPAs, the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA), and the Brazos Valley Chapter of the TSCPA, where he was one of the organizational officers.
